Bio

Gypsy is a small-town girl who moved to the city and found a new life through shibari. She’s a rope bunny turned rigger with a love for all things pink, including her bright pink rope. With a focus on body positivity and plus size advocacy, she focuses her practice on tying all body shapes and sizes. From bottoming, self-tying, to topping, she works to modify traditional shibari elements for bigger bodies with her class, “Fat Girls in Rope”. After introducing “Fat Girls in Rope” at Austin GRUE, she was inspired to bring the class to life and show it to the world. As a leader of Hitchin Bitches Austin, Gypsy incorporates her body positivity into her leadership, teaching, and everyday life.

Fat Bottoms in Rope: Chest Harness @ Texas E
Mar 3 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Fat Bottoms in Rope: Chest Harness @ Texas E

This class we will work through the Front Hands TK. This is a great modification for someone who is top heavy or has minimal shoulder flexibility. The tie is extremely sustainable for bigger bodies and prevents shoulder strain and possible exhaustion as seen in a traditional TK. We will test out different ways to load this harness, so you can find your perfect fit for you and your rope top.

This is an intermediate suspension class. For this class you will need at least 8 to 10 8 meter ropes, safety tools, and your choice of hardware
